Blake E. McKee (2000-2016)

Blake Elliot McKee was born on April 10, 2000 in Moore, OK, to the parents of Mark and Lisa McKee. Blake was looking forward to his sophomore year at Westmoore High School where he was a student and participated in cross-country.

His family knew him as a kind hearted, fearless young man with a love for adventure and trying new things. We cherish his love and the special relationship he had with each member of his family.

Blake loved the outdoors; he especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father. He also loved watching movies at night with his dad. Blake spent much of his time swimming and laying out by the pool with his mom. Blake enjoyed traveling (most often to the beach) and making memories with his family.

Blake cherished time with his older sister, Erin, and brother, Caleb, who have always loved him in a unique and affectionate way. During the last 2 years, he received a brother and sister-in-law, Shawn and Karrah, who shared a special bond with “Blah-kay”. All the siblings spent many evenings together playing board games, laughing over Blake’s humorous remarks, and holding their sweet nieces, Khloe and Brooklyn.

Caleb and Karrah loved spending time with Blake and pouring encouragement into his life. Blake loved spending time in Fort Worth with them. Caleb and Blake are best friends. They loved bonding over a cup of coffee or tea.

All the little ones in the family looked forward to seeing Blake because he would make them laugh and he would always go out of his way to play with them. Blake loved kids, and he will always be a kid at heart. His heart was like that of a child: compassionate, loving, caring, joyful.

Blake is survived by his parents Mark and Lisa McKee of the home, sister Erin and her husband Shawn Eisenman, Blake’s nephews and nieces, Aidan, Tripp, Brooklyn, and Khloe, and his brother Caleb and his wife Karrah McKee of Moore, OK. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Norma Schneberger of Cyril and paternal grandmother, Sydney Kale of Yukon and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Blake was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ed Schneberger of Cyril.
