Brene Q. Vann 1965 – 2017

Brene (Brento) Quinton Vann, was born the fourth of six children to Bryce Gilbert Vann, Sr. and Hellen Ruth Smith-Vann in Oklahoma City, OK on January 10, 1965.

Educated in the Putnam City School District, Brento graduated from Putnam City Original High School in 1984. At Putnam City, he quickly became a local hero, as he was a multisport athlete. Brento was recognized with the Blue Chip All-American Running Back of the Year, and Player of the Year in football in 1984. After graduating, he received a scholarship at Pasadena Community College in Pasadena, CA where he received the All-American Award in football.

After completing his tenure at PCC, he continued his education at UCO in Edmond, Oklahoma where he finished his football career. He married his college sweetheart, Elizabeth Vasquez; together they had three children. Brento was employed as a construction worker and umpire in Oklahoma City.

Brento loved fishing, working on cars, cooking out, taking in stray dogs and hanging with his friends and family. He leaves to cherish his memories children Raul (Brene), Marcus, Quinton, Bhrett; brothers Bryce Jr., Bruce, Brandy, and Bryatt and sister Hellena; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service for Brene will be 11:30am on Monday, March 27,2017 at the City Church Northwest Event Center located at 6009 NW Expressway in OKC, OK , with burial at 3pm at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
