Jimmy Eldon Curtis, age 60, of Oklahoma City, OK., went to be with his Lord September 28, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City after a long and chronic illness. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Jimmy was born December 30, 1957 in Dawson Co., Lamesa, TX. to Herman Eldon and Shirley Jean (Parker) Curtis. His family soon moved to Peoria, IL. where he enlisted in the Army in 1976 and was Honorable discharged shortly after 1979. Jimmy spent 6 months in Germany as an Armor Crewman, he also earned the Expert Badge (.45) and Sharpshooter Badge (M16).  Jimmy worked in the Wholesale Siding business since his move to OK., making many friends that lasted his entire life and earned him the nickname of Jimbo.

Jimmy enjoyed everything in life, family and friends being his priority.  Grilling/Smoking in the backyard while taking a dip in the pool, bowling, billiards, playing sports, teaching the neighborhood kids about sports, golfing with his buddies and family, camping, fishing, boating, cards and games and least we forget going to the Cowboys football games to name a few.

Jimmy moved to Oklahoma City and met his wife Terry L. Steele in 1985, till death they had to part after 33 years. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Aimee Curtis of OK.  Jimmy is survived by his wife of the home, Sisters: Sherry Angle of McKinney, TX., Brenda Washington of Wichita Falls, TX., Glenda Cross of Phoenix, AZ.,  Brothers: William (Billy) Mowery of Oakland, CA., and Jerry Straley of Dallas, TX., Brother-in-Laws Phillip Steele of Norman, OK. and Gary Steele of Mustang, OK.

Memorial Services will be held Friday October 5th at 2 pm at the chapel of Absolute Economical Funeral Home, 7721 NW 10th St, Suite B, Oklahoma City, OK.
