Mark A. Ridings (Big A ) 1977 – 2017


Aaron lost his fight with P.A.H. heart disease while in the hospital at Oklahoma Heart Hospital NW. He fought brave and hard, with dignity and courage for many years. Most of us did not even know just how very sick Aaron’s heart really was. Aaron was not one to complain, and was always smiling and laughing with his family and friends. He always made the best out of any situation with his humor. away on February 3, 2017 at the young age of 39. He was born on March 7, Mark Aaron Ridings, Aaron as he was known to family and friends, passed 1977 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Mark David Ridings and Cathleen “Cathy” Renee Ridings. Aaron grew up in Bethany, Oklahoma where he attended PC Central until the at which he worked fabricating steel buildings an Mustang district. After high school he learned and became skilled in welding family relocated to the Yukon/Mustang area. There he attended school in the d other welding applications throughout his younger years. He was also skilled in small engine mechanics which helped him in enjoying his hobby of RC cars and other small engine tinkering like the Go Kart he had recently finished. He was proud of those accomplishments. City; his Aaron is survived by his sister April Vela and husband Jose of Oklahoma half-sister, Angela Parris, Tulsa; his half-brother, Jack Ridings Oklahoma City, (Stacy), Tulsa; his grandfather, Lloyd Wilson; his aunt, Sherri Davis; both of his aunt, Joy Pauley, Bethany; his uncle, Paul Ridings, Tulsa along with 1 niece and 1 nephew. Aaron was never married although he did spend the last several years of his life with his loyal and faithful girlfriend, Amanda Robbins of Oklahoma City. Aaron was preceded in death by his mother Cathy Ahmann in 1998 and his father Mark Ridings in 2008. Aaron “Big A” will be missed by many people and never forgotten by the friends and family that loved him so much!

A memorial service will be held at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, Chapel in the Round, 6789 N.W. 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK, Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:00 am.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Celebrate Recovery program made possible by Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.
