Raymond Alan Blais 1963 – 2017


BlaispicRaymond A. Blais, 54, formerly of Norman, OK, passed away on Tuesday, February 07, 2017, at the Holiday Heights, in Norman, OK, after succumbing to his long battle with Cancer.  Mr. Blais was a machinist, who, also, worked on heavy industrial machinery. Among his other occupations, he was a great car mechanic, an electrician and carpenter. Mr. Blais was well known for playing his many guitars; he was an accomplished guitarist coming from a musical family who played Country & Western music for many years in MA.

Born in Marlboro, MA, he was the son of Doris J. (Parker) Blais Bonnell and James Raymond Blais. He lived in Westboro, MA, for 4 ½ years; later, the family moved to their lake home on Ft. Meadow Lake, in Marlboro, MA. Raymond was a 1982 graduate of Marlboro High School, in Marlboro, MA. Mr. Blais is survived by his wife, Bonnie-Jean (Douglas) Blais, and their two children: David Alan Blais and Rachel Rose (Blais) Dryden; from his first marriage to Lisa (Anderson) Cole, he has two children: Kevin J.R. Blais and Amanda Nicole Blais; plus, three granddaughters. Raymond is survived by his siblings: James Ernest Blais of Shrewsbury, MA, and Diana Jeanne (Blais) Sandini of Marlboro, MA; plus, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends said their last goodbye after a pastoral blessing was said over Mr. Blais on Tuesday, February 07, 2017. Mr. Blais’ remains were cremated at the Alpha and Omega Mortuary Services and Crematory, in Oklahoma City, OK, on Wednesday, February 08, 2017. Though he has left this life, he will always be truly missed by those who loved him. Rest in peace, Ray!
