Sandra Lee Plemons 1949-2018

Sandra Lee Plemons, age 68, passed away surrounded by family at her home on Monday, January 15th, 2018, after a 5 year battle with breast cancer. Sandra was born September 11, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas to the late Cecil and Edwina Johnson. Sandra worked as a LPN for many years before retiring from Alta Mesa nursing home in 1999. She loved gardening and playing rummy, but most importantly, she loved being a mother and grandmother. Anyone and everyone knew her as “Meme”. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jimmy Johnson, Frankie Johnson, and Johnny Johnson; and one sister, Sharon Davis.

Survivors include her husband, James Plemons; two daughters, Karen Norman of Norman, Tracy Black and husband, Billy, of Moore; two sisters, Billie Jacques and husband, Robert, of Noble, Betty Dunning and husband, Allen, of Newcastle; one brother, Raymond Johnson of New Braunfels, Tx; 6 grandchildren, Amanda Williams and husband, Christopher, of Liberty, Mo., Lacy Naylor of Norman, Holly Black of Moore, Brandon Black and fiancé, Regina, of Moore, Jennifer Linnell and husband, Brian, of College Station, Tx., Amber Weaver and husband, Christopher, of Bryan, Tx.; thirteen great grandchildren, Cerylean Jones, Paul Little, Mayson Naylor, Noah Jones, Andrew Linnell, Braden Linnell, Zoe Jones, Gavin Myrick, Kendle Linnell, Bailey Naylor, Libery Myrick, Emberlee Williams, and Wyatt Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Sandra’s life on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 from 1pm-3pm at the Little Axe Community Center at 1000 168th Ave. NE, Norman, OK. 73026.

The family is asking attendees to wear pink or bright colored clothing to celebrate her life.
