Timmy Charles Dunn ( 1954 – 2016 )

DunnpcTimm Charles Dunn, 62, of Chickasha, passed away on August 17 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center.

Born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Donald J. Dunn and Bea Dunn on April 28, 1954, Timm lived his life devoted to his family and country. He was known as a man who cooked big family meals and built an add-on to his home so that his four grandchildren, his pride and joy, could spend their summer vacations with him.  Besides his family, his proudest accomplishment was serving his country in the United States Air Force from 1973 until 1993, when he medically retired.  He was also known as an avid gardener, who spent countless hours to make his garden picture perfect, a quilter, and a cowboy, who’d wake up early to admire the beauty of horse’s hair that had frozen while blowing in the air.

Timm is survived by his loving husband Gregory Dunn of Chickasha, OK; two children: Trevor Dunn (Erin) of Las Vegas, NV, and Kristy Kelley (Jerry) of Chickasha, OK; four siblings: Terry Dunn, Brenda Stidham (Jackie), Penny Jordan (Joe), and Kendall Dunn (Marissa), all who reside in Oklahoma; his parents Donald and Bea Dunn of Chickasha, OK; and his four grandchildren: Tyler Dunn, Keldon Kelley, Katelyn Dunn and Zander Kelley and many nieces and nephews.

Burial services will be held at Fort Sill National Cemetery (2648 NE Jake Dunn Road Elgin, OK 73538) at 1:00pm, September 23, 2016.

In the words of poet Henry Van Dyke, “Time is too slow for those that wait, too swift for those that fear, too long for those that grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is Eternity.”
